One team, one roof. Jessica leads design and Scott leads construction, heading a team that carries your project from the first sketch to the day you walk in—architecture, interior design, and the build, all in-house. That’s rarer than it sounds. Most of the time, design and construction are two separate companies learning to work together; here, they’ve been one firm from the start.
“Between us we’ve spent more than 25 years designing and building homes, and Restart is how we brought all of it under one roof, with our own team and our own standards from concept to completion.”
What we do. We design and build modern homes across the Lehigh Valley and Bucks County—new construction, whole-home and first-floor renovations, custom kitchens, and additions—for people who want the whole thing handled, and want it worth showing off.
What we believe. A home should be as good to live in as it is to look at. So we build every project to be beautiful and genuinely healthier to live in—because we’ve never found a good reason those two things should be at odds.
Our Beginnings:
When Scott and Jessica were designing and building for their own real estate company, homeowners kept asking them to do the same for their houses. In 2019, Restart was born.
Today Scott leads in-house construction and project management, while Jessica leads design with her team—and their work has been featured in Homes and Gardens, Martha Stewart, Parade, Livingetc, and the Spruce.
From a young age, Scott had a knack for building—decks, his mom’s bathroom, friends’ projects. Early on he supervised building construction and paired it with a graphic-design skill that let him produce precise architectural drawings. After years of industry experience, he and Jessica launched their own real estate company designing, remodeling, and building homes, and founded Restart in 2019. Scott runs the build and is on site nearly every day, hands on the work. His whole approach comes down to two words: build it right—which, as it turns out, is most of what makes a home a healthy one. His work has earned Restart the “Best of Houzz” award across several categories.
The visionary of the team, Jessica spots a home’s potential and ushers it into reality. After the University of Western Ontario, she joined Forest City Builders doing planning, site visits, and design, then spent over a decade designing and building through the real estate company she and Scott ran together. As lead designer, she’s known for balancing inspiration and execution, and for a streamlined process that keeps a project moving.
A few years ago, the healthy part became personal. In midlife you start paying a different kind of attention—to what you eat, what you breathe, what you’re doing now that your body will thank you for later. Around the same time, she watched her mom lose her health and mobility, and got a long, close look at how a home can either help a person or quietly work against them. It shaped how she designs: beautiful first, always—and built to be good to live in, at every stage of life. She’s never found a good reason those two things should be at odds.
When she’s not designing, she’s with her kids or traveling.
Scott and Jess have been amazing to work with. They are everything you’re looking for in finding a trustworthy contractor.

It is rare these days to find someone that will stay with you from beginning to end, will show up when stated, keep a clean worksite, do things well, and stay on budget.
